"Say NO to search engines" manifest.

Search engines had a vast and long history. They were important part of the Internet for years. We think now it is time to say goodbye to them and we have some serious reasons for it.

1)  It is far not the best way to find information needed.
There are much more effective ways of digging out useful information, such as wikipedias and social networks. They give you items rank based on user opinions not just dumb (very complicated, but still dumb) algorithms.

2) The information presented by search engines is not trustworthy.
There are a lot of non-relevant sites in search engines results. Search engines results suffer from search engine over-optimization, black seo tricks and so on. If you'll ever try to find relevant information about, say, Viagra, you know what I am talking about. You should sometimes click 40 or 50 links to find out what you need.

3) Search engines are going to conquer the world.
Search engines does not really care about you. They care of you much less then social networks. They invest billions into new services and they say that all those services are free for you. You enjoy this - but just for now. There will be a day all your information would be given to third parties, or you'll be asked a fee to access it or whatever - you can continue the list yourself. No need to say that corporations are bad for economics and small businesses.

So, you know our opinion. Trust us; it is easy to live without search engines. Just try - and you'll find a million other easy ways to find new information. Start now, spend a day inventing new ways - and you won't regret.
